Dear Londoners,
Thank you for your support of our efforts to save door-to-door mail delivery in London.
Many of you have already signed our petition asking the City of London’s elected officials to oppose the cuts to door-to-door delivery, and on August 11 2015 and thanks to you we delivered nearly 2900 signatures to London City Hall. We need your support still.
Because of nationwide opposition, concerned Canadians like you have made saving door-to-door delivery a 2015 federal election issue, and all five major parties have taken a position.
On Election Day, please vote to support our public postal service.
Following creative efforts to express community opposition to Canada Post's imposed mailboxes including garden installations by local artist Ron Benner, the corporation has delayed its date for community mailboxes to “go live” in London.
Now it’s time to bring our message to our federal candidates in London.
Canada Post belongs to all of us, and it is accountable to our federal government. Please sign our new petition and add your voice to the growing opposition to the Conservatives' cuts to our public postal service. Please share this message widely with your friends, family and co-workers. Let’s tell MPs Ed Holder and Susan Truppe and all of our local federal candidates: stop the cuts!
